
In September 2020, as a part of the Nordic Days in Rēzekne, MARTA Center organized two workshops at ARPC “Zeimuļs”. On September 24, the workshop gathered 18 students of Rēzekne University of Technology with the aim: to promote understanding of aspects of gender [in]equality, it’s aspects, causes and consequences in both personal and professional life. Furthermore, concrete steps and decisions that everyone can take to invest in a more dignified and equal local community and Latvian society as a whole were discussed.
On September 25, in turn, a workshop on the topic “Adolescents and healthy relationships. What is mobbing and how to talk about it with teenagers? ”, more than 20 youth workers, psychologists, social workers and other professionals whose daily work is targeted at teenagers took part. The workshop was dedicated to the development of specialist competencies related to mobbing prevention, recognition and provision of appropriate assistance.
The event was organized with the support of EEA and Norway Grants and opened by the Norwegian Ambassador Kristian Ødegaard and Deputy Head of Mission – Counsellor Jannicke Bain.
