Support for repressed and their families

The project will provide practical, legal, and psychological support to more than 350 survivors of political repression and their families in Belarus.  This is especially important considering the difficult economic and psychosocial situation they find themselves in due to the ongoing state pressure against the participants of peaceful protests in Belarus. Furthermore, the project aims to gather evidence, based on international law best practice, of at least 50 cases of cruel and inhumane treatment of peaceful protesters. Finally, the project aims to strengthen the support network and infrastructure available to the survivors to ensure long-term support and project sustainability.

Project duration: 01.01.2021 – 01.11.2021

Project funded by the Foreign Ministry of Latvia.
