Active Citizens Fund: The project "Women's Rights Culture - Cornerstone of Democracy"

The project "Women's Rights Culture - Cornerstone of Democracy" is aimed at strengthening the idea of women's rights culture as an essential aspect of democracy and creating awareness of gender-equal citizenship in Latvia. Within its framework, it is planned to conduct extensive protection work, ensuring a perspective of gender equality in decision-making and civic participation processes. Public information work will also be conducted, creating awareness of the importance of women's perspectives and gender equality in democratic processes. As a result of the project, thanks to the acquired knowledge, skills and experience in civic participation activities, a greater number of women and young people will have been involved in civic activities and decision-making processes, as well as gained or strengthened their belief in their ability to influence decision-making processes.
