WE CALL FOR DONATIONS TO MARTA CENTRE AID WORK FOR UKRAINE
The war launched by Russia in Ukraine has completely changed the successful cooperation between MARTA Centre and the municipalities and non-governmental organisations of east Ukraine and south Ukraine, setting new priorities – organising aid for war-torn regions. MARTA Centre has become an important provider of assistance, responding to the needs identified by Ukrainian leaders and activists.
THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT, WE HAVE BEEN HELPING UKRAINE BY:
1) Providing psycho-emotional support to the residents of Eastern Ukraine in cooperation with the Crisis and Counseling Center in Skalbes;
2) Creating guidelines for units of the Ukrainian army in the Kyiv region and social workers of the Social Service of Ukraine to document war crimes and sexual violence in military conflict zones;
3) Training 520 specialists - investigators, social workers, operatives, psychologists, and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine - to work with victims, documenting war crimes and sexual violence;
4) Opening a rehabilitation center in Ivanofrankivsk in November together with "Eleos-Ukraine", which provides assistance to women who have suffered from crimes of sexual violence committed by the Russian army;
5) Opening a hotline for victims of sexual crimes and torture in cooperation with partners in Ukraine, which provides counselling, psychological help and information;
6) Providing support for women's activism within the framework of the UN Security Council resolution "Women, peace and security".
