CREATIVE MARTA
In order to secure the organizations sustainability and freedom to manifest its beliefs, as well as ensure sufficient assistance to women, centre MARTA runs creative fund raising projects, which are supported by artists that are well-known in Latvia, as well as confederates in Latvia and the international community; these projects help to ensure the security of women and the protection of their rights.
Creative fundraising is well-known and weighed up in the world.
In 2008, when the first MARTA CD was published, the organization was awarded the Robin Hood Prize at the International Fund Raising Forum in Prague, as well as received the One of the most sustainable non-governmental organizations in Latvia Prize, awarded by AB public benefit foundation for the most innovative idea of fund raising.
MARTAs creative projects present a fresh look at MARTAs values and the situation of women on the whole, thus raising the communitys awareness, as well as call to engage in shaping a socially responsible society, which advocates the rights and the safety of women. These projects promote support for provision of professional assistance to women in crisis situations, as well as carry out the preventive work for elimination of violence.
